Lexie was one of the very first dogs I photographed, all the way back in 2012. It was such a dream to get to photograph her again, along with her best buddy Locker (who has such a different personality!). She is still her same incredibly sweet self and her eyes, which were the most soulful ever back then, are still just brimming with absolute love and curiosity. Perhaps it was just the interest in the treats I had, but I think she is just the most wise and lovable lady lab ever! Locker (the one with the white markings) is Corey’s dog, and I just adored his energy and goofiness. He always tried to take the ball from Lexie, but a few times he just let her have it, and it was pretty cute how obvious it was.
Brittany and Corey are super lucky to have a family house on Cannon Beach, right in front of the most famous spot. I was sooooo delighted to meet them there one early morning at sunrise recently and photograph the pups in their element before the crowds descended on to the beach. It was amazing to take photos of them as a family in such a stunning place, and an experience I’ll never forget. More beaches, please!
